The Chester Rod & Gun Club exists to serve the community by providing
a family friendly environment to promote the shooting and fishing sports.

New Members  &  [CRnGForum] Administration

Optional matters to consider AFTER you get your CRnG Membership Badge:

  1. New members may request a free one year membership to the NRA

  2. Request Username and Password to MEMBERS ONLY section of this website

  3. Join the CRnG Web Forum discussions

  4. IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL NEW MEMBER QUESTIONS...

STEP 1:  New members may request a free one year membership in the NRA:

        FREE  NRA  MEMBERSHIP

Join the Chester Rod and Gun Club, Inc. and receive a complimentary (Free) one-year membership to the NRA (National Rifle Association) at no additional cost when you join and are accepted as a member of CRnG!

(Offer is for new members only.   Requirements and
additional information is available at the Club.)

STEP 2:  Request Username and Password to the MEMBERS ONLY section of this website:

Please fill out the following form, and be sure to press SEND REQUEST at the bottom!   Assuming you
are already in the list of validated CRnG Members, you will be sent an e-mail with the Username and Password
within a day or two -- most often within a few hours.   However, for brand new CRnG Members,
it usually takes us  a week or so after you get your new CRnG badge  to get your name, badge number,
and e-mail address into this website system.   ( This form assumes your browser is configured to invoke
your e-mail composer, so if it fails just send the information directly to
EdHoldgate@yahoo.com )

STEP 3:  Join the CRnG Web Forum Discussions:

Our Web Forum is similar in purpose to the e-mail based Yahoogroup discussions mentioned
in STEP 3 above, but instead of communicating over e-mail members can get login accounts
to a website where discussions are categorized.   Members can then post questions and
comments and hold discussions under the appropriate categories, and browse old discussion
messages too.    To request an account, use the blue  Web Forum  button on the upper left
of the CRnG homepage, or click this link.   New CRnG members should click the REGISTER
link at the top left tab of the Web Forum homepage in order to get an account login and password.

STEP 4:  If you have additional New Member questions:

New members often have a lot of questions on all sorts of subjects.   Since safety is so important,
we really want you to be able to ask questions easily, and here are several ways:

  1. New Members will hopefully remember who (probably a CRnG Trustee or Range Officer)
provided their New Member Orientation tour of the facilities.   Hopefully they provided
you new members with their contact info so you can ask that person.

  2. If you are out on a Range, consult with any other Members who may be there with you.  They
may or may not be Range Officers or CRnG Trustees, so their answers may or may not be
    "official."

  3. Using STEP 2 above, and/or the paper version of the Range Rules that should have been
given to you during your Orientation, you can open up the Range Rules and look for an answer.

  4. Using STEP 3 above, you can obtain a Web Forum login and password, and then post
questions in the appropriate category on the Web Forum pages.     If you turn on the
"Notification" feature, you will get e-mail when some other member (who may or may not be
a Range Officer or CRnG Trustee) posts a reply to your question.

  5. Consider sending an e-mail to one of the CRnG leaders who you think may be most likely
the expert in the area of your concern.   Links to their e-mail addresses are on our CRnG
    homepage at http://www.holdgate.us/ChesterRodAndGunClub/plain#leaders

  6. IF ALL THE ABOVE IS NOT SUFFICIENT, try me the website author, but recognize
that my answers won't necessarily be Range Officer or Trustee sanctioned either.   Just
    write to:  EdHoldgate@yahoo.com

Send any questions to webauthor  EdHoldgate@yahoo.com
